Masks for spraying the markings onto a model of the Avro Lancaster B.Mk.I in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Avro Lancaster was a British four-engine heavy bomber that became the backbone of the night bombing effort of the Royal Air Force. The B.Mk.I variant had Merlin V12 engines and a continuous bomb bay running the whole length of the fuselage, thanks to which it could carry even the largest bombs of its day.
Masks for spraying the markings on a model in 1:48 scale. On a large bomber the markings are large too, and it is precisely on large insignia that the drawbacks of a decal show the most: a thick carrier film on a matte finish creates a glossy rectangle around the insignia and breaks up over an uneven surface. A sprayed marking does not have that problem and it takes weathering and glazing just like the paint underneath it.
The set is for the modeler who objects to glossy outlines around the insignia on a large bomber and wants the markings in the same layer of paint as the rest of the surface. It also serves as a replacement for decals in an older kit that have yellowed or gone brittle with age.
Masks are supplied. The model, paints, decals and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
