This plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM represents the German Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer. The model is molded in injection plastic with finely engraved detail and is complemented by a set of photo-etched parts. It builds up from several sprues and offers a faithful running gear and low armored hull.
The Hetzer was among the most widespread tank destroyers at the end of the Second World War. It was based on the chassis of the Czechoslovak 38(t) type and its main weapon was a 75 mm gun. A low silhouette and sloped frontal armor made it a difficult target; it was produced in large numbers and served after the war as well.
Assemble the running gear and the hull interior first, before you close it up. Use liquid cement for plastic and glue the photo-etch with cyanoacrylate glue. The model will come out well once the primer and the camouflage scheme are sprayed on; washes and pigments will help create realistic dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
