Eduard 1:48 B-17G nose interior is a color photo-etched detail set for bringing out the interior of the forward fuselage of the four-engine B-17G Flying Fortress bomber. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a color photo-etched set from the workshop of the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for detailing the interior of the forward fuselage of a model of the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress in 1:48 scale. The set is not a stand-alone airplane model — it is an accessory with which you add to a plastic kit of the matching type the fine details that injection-molded plastic cannot reproduce.
The color photo-etched parts replace or complement the surfaces with instruments and controls in the nose section: the instrument panels, the consoles, the seats with their harnesses and the small equipment of the navigator and bombardier stations. The color-printed parts give the cockpit a realistic look without laborious hand painting of the dials.
The B-17G was the most widespread version of the American heavy bomber of the Second World War. Its characteristic features were the chin turret with a pair of machine guns under the nose and a total of thirteen defensive machine guns, and it was deployed above all with the Eighth Air Force over Europe on daylight strategic bombing raids.
The set is used to detail a plastic kit of the matching type and scale. The model itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
