Eduard STEEL seat belts 1:48 for the Boeing B-17G — color-printed etched steel belts for the crew seats of the famous Flying Fortress.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for detailing an interior, not a model in its own right. The photo-etched belts of the STEEL range from the Czech manufacturer Eduard are made of thin steel and are supplied with color printing — the straps have their stitching, shading and metal buckles indicated. The set is intended for the Boeing B-17G bomber in 1:48 scale.
A large model of the Flying Fortress offers a view into the pilots' compartment and the other stations through its extensive glazing. Seats with flat plastic belts look empty there; thin steel straps, by contrast, can be bent naturally over the cushion and the backrest and the interior comes to life at once. Thanks to the color printing, there is also no need to pick out miniature buckles with a brush.
The B-17G was the final and most numerous version of the American four-engine bomber of the Second World War. Its multi-man crew manned stations from the nose bombardier through the pilots to the gunners — on a model in 1:48 scale that means a good number of visible seats and harnesses.
This is a detailing accessory — the aircraft kit is not included in the package.
