Painting masks for a model of the B-25J Mitchell bomber in 1:48 scale, listed for the HK Models kit. You stick them on before spraying and take them off once the paint is on.
Responsibility details are not available.
The B-25 is an airplane with an unusually large glazed area: a glazed nose, the pilots' cockpit, gun positions and side windows. Cutting the outlines out of adhesive tape by hand is possible, but with so many frames it takes more time than the spraying itself and every part comes out slightly different. Masks prepared in advance remove that work, because the shape already fits the part it is made for. The set is listed for the kit of the HK Models brand in 1:48 scale.
The B-25 Mitchell was an American twin-engined medium bomber of the Second World War, powered by radial piston engines and recognizable by its pair of vertical tail surfaces. It is named after General Billy Mitchell. The J version was the most numerous of all and was produced both with a glazed nose for the bombardier and in a standard with a solid nose fitted with machine guns for low-altitude attacks.
The masks are stuck on a clean and degreased surface, and always before spraying, not after it. Press the edges down properly with a toothpick or a wooden stick, because it is exactly under an edge that has not been pressed down that the paint runs. Spray in thin coats and let them flash off. Take the mask off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch, because paint lifts along with a mask that has been left on too long.
The airplane kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
