Eduard seat belts STEEL 1:48 for the Douglas B-26B-50 Invader — steel photo-etched belts with color printing for a realistic cockpit in the bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
A detailing accessory for the cockpit, not a model in its own right. The belts of the STEEL line from the Czech maker Eduard are etched from thin steel foil and color-printed at the factory — including the buckles, the stitching and the shading of the straps. The set is intended for the Douglas B-26B-50 Invader in 1:48 scale.
Belts molded into the plastic of the seats, or handled with a decal, look flat. Steel photo-etch, by contrast, is as thin as a real strap in scale, can be curved and laid across the seat the way it would lie in reality. And the seats are the first thing a viewer sees in an open cockpit.
The Douglas Invader served from the end of the Second World War as a fast attack and bomber aircraft; the B-26B version with a solid nose fitted with machine guns made its name on night missions in the Korean War. The crew sat under a roomy canopy, which gives the details in the cockpit plenty of attention.
This is a detailing accessory — the aircraft kit is not included in the package.
