Eduard painting masks B5N Kate in 1:48 scale are a set of precisely shaped masks for easy, clean spraying of the cockpit glazing and other areas of a model of the Japanese carrier-based torpedo bomber Nakajima B5N Kate. It is not a model; that is bought separately.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks made of kabuki tape from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model in 1:48 scale. The masks are pre-cut and self-adhesive, and they follow the shape of the cockpit glazing frames and, depending on the extent of the set, of other areas such as the wheels. They serve for quick, clean masking before the paint is sprayed. It is an accessory; the aircraft model itself is not included and is bought separately.
The Nakajima B5N (Allied reporting name Kate) was a Japanese carrier-based torpedo and level bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service. This three-seat monoplane was among the best-performing machines of its kind at the start of the war and left a strong mark on the fighting in the Pacific, including the attack on Pearl Harbor.
Transfer the masks onto clean glazing, press the edges down carefully and cover any smaller open areas with masking tape or liquid mask. Apply thin coats of paint with an airbrush and remove the masks while the paint is still fresh, so that the edges stay sharp.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The model itself, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
