A printed seat for the cockpit of a BAC 167 Strikemaster model in 1:48 scale completes the most visible place in the interior.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finely printed part for the pilot's space of a Strikemaster model in 1:48 scale. It completes the place that is most visible under an open canopy and saves assembling small pieces from a molded form. It will also serve as a replacement if the original part is damaged or lost during the build.
The cabin of the Strikemaster is wide and well glazed, so anyone who picks the model up will look into it. The seat is at the same time the most complex shape inside: the shell, the headrest and the small controls. A printed part manages them in one piece, with no seams and no miniature components that like to get lost under tweezers. That is exactly why on a model with an open cabin it pays to spend the time on the interior rather than on small things outside.
Cut the part off the supports, level the lower surface and try it in the cockpit tub dry – with prints a few tenths of a millimeter often have to come off. Apply the primer in a fine coat so that the engraving is not lost. Set the seat cushion and the backrest apart with a lighter tone, color the metal parts with graphite and finally add a dark wash into the folds. Apply the paints with a brush over small areas; an airbrush would do more harm than good in a narrow cockpit tub.
The printed part is supplied on its own; the model, the glue and the shades are not in the package.
