This set from Eduard contains pre-colored photo-etched seat belts made of steel, intended for the cockpit of a model of the British BAC/EE Lightning fighter in the F.2A and F.6 versions in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a small detail accessory that raises the fidelity of the interior of a finished kit.
The steel version is springier and holds its shape better than ordinary brass photo-etch, so the belts can be given a realistic sag and fitted to the seat. The parts are pre-colored, so there is no laborious painting — the colors and the rendering of the buckles are printed directly on the photo-etch. The result is a faithful depiction of the harness of an ejection seat.
This is a detail accessory for a cockpit, not a complete model. The plastic kit, glue and tools are not included in the package. Take care when working with small steel parts.
