With Eduard the TFace name means that the framing can be handled from both sides of the glazing, that is from inside the cockpit as well. The difference shows mainly on models with the doors open or the canopy swung back, where the cockpit is visible. This item differs from the basic variant of the same type exactly by that designation in the name.
The Q version was the most numerous variant of the Airacobra and among other things it settled the armament in underwing gondolas. The unusual arrangement with the engine in the middle of the fuselage gave the aircraft good handling at low altitude, while higher up it lacked power – which is why it excelled mainly where the fighting was low down. Soviet pilots achieved exceptional results on it and it was among the most successful machines delivered under Lend-Lease.
Spray the inner side of the frames before you assemble the cockpit into the fuselage. Apply the interior shade in a thin coat and let it cure properly so that it does not get marked during further handling. Only then move on to the exterior spraying and the camouflage. Keep the doors and the canopy aside the whole time so that the inner side does not get dirty from sanding dust.
