An AML decal set in 1:48 scale concentrating on Finnish Curtiss Hawk 75 fighters. What it holds is a printed sheet with which you finish a model that is already built; neither plastic parts nor a kit are in the package.
The Curtiss Hawk 75 was an American monoplane fighter with a radial engine. The Finnish Air Force came to it by a roundabout route - through machines that came from European deliveries and from war booty. Over the Karelian Isthmus the Finns made use of them despite facing more modern types: they owed that to good handling, reliability in hard frost and the experience of their pilots. Finnish machines carried their own national insignia and camouflage adapted to the northern landscape, and the appearance of individual aircraft differed according to where they came from and when they had been through an overhaul.
Polish the area under the decal and give it a gloss coat. Leave the motif in warm water only until the film starts to move, and transfer it onto a surface dampened with clean water. Press the air out from under the film with a soft brush, working from the center toward the edges. Over panel lines use a softener and let the decal settle without interference, and only then give the whole thing an overcoat.
