1:48 Bf 109E-1, canopy frame mask for the early version of the German fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A canopy frame mask for the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 fighter in 1:48 scale. The cockpit of the early Emils has many short straight frames and covering them by hand is among the most tedious parts of the build. The set shortens that stage to one fitting and one spraying.
The Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was the first form with a Daimler-Benz engine and with square-cut wing tips. The E-1 version carried machine gun armament and did not yet use cannons in the wing, which showed in the division of the panels as well. Its use began in Spain and continued over Poland and France, where the machine was among the best fighters of the day. The Emil was also the first version built in truly large numbers, which is why you will meet it in almost every collection of aircraft models.
Straight frames forgive fewer mistakes than curved ones, because the eye finds every unevenness at once. Seat the stencil dry and check that the edges follow on, and only then spray. Leave the armored windscreen and the rear headrest to the end. Before you spray the frame in the camouflage shade, lay the interior color underneath it. The lower edge of the canopy runs into the fuselage and that is exactly where it shows whether the stencil seated accurately.
