Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape for the model of the Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4, or E-7, fighter type in 1:48 scale. The masks make clean spraying of the frames of the glazed cabin and of the wheel discs easier, without laborious cutting. It is not a kit: it is an accessory used while painting a finished or part-built model. Eduard is a Czech maker of modeling accessories.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109E, nicknamed Emil, was one of the main German fighters of the late 1930s and the beginning of the Second World War. The E-4 and E-7 versions had an inverted V12 Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine; the E-7 was adapted to carry an auxiliary fuel tank or a bomb. The Emils played a major part in the Battle of Britain.
The pre-cut masks of self-adhesive kabuki tape are stuck onto the cabin glazing and the wheel discs, pressed into the engraved frame lines with a pointed stick, and the area is sprayed. Once the paint has dried, the tape is lifted off and the framing stays clean and sharp. An airbrush gives an even coat. The masks cover the framing of the hinged canopy typical of the Emil.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
