The pilot's workplace in this type was cramped and rawly functional. On the left the hand fell on the throttle lever, in the middle stood the KG 13 control stick with the trigger buttons on its grip, and above the main panel sat the Revi reflector gunsight. Almost nothing covers the space around the seat, so once the model is finished every lever and every dial stays in view.
Instead of the usual flat metal plates you get thin printed elements that are built up in layers and have real three-dimensional depth. The dials stand out above the surrounding surface, the controls cast their own shadow and the colors follow the wartime specifications. Only the backing paper is moistened, the film is lifted off with tweezers and fixed with PVA glue (white glue), so there is no bending or gluing of metal.
The surface underneath must be smooth and glossy, otherwise air will be trapped under the edge and a whitish veil will appear around it. Do not use a decal softener: the chemicals attack the printed resin and ruin the element. Leave the finished part to dry overnight and only then handle it further, because a damp layer moves or tears easily. Wipe any remains of the PVA glue from around it with a cotton swab moistened in clean water, otherwise they would later show through under a matte clear coat.
