Eduard STEEL 1:48 steel seat belts for the Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 are pre-printed photo-etched belts of steel that faithfully replace the plastic harness in the cockpit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of seat belts from the Eduard STEEL range in 1:48 scale for a model of the German fighter Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The belts are etched from thin steel and printed in color, so they faithfully imitate period harness including the buckles and fittings. Compared with a brass etching, steel holds its shape and a natural sag better. Eduard is a Czech maker from Obrnice near Most.
The Bf 109G-6 was one of the most numerous versions of the German fighter of the Second World War, powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine. Finely worked pilot harness is one of the elements that raise the realism of a finished model most in an open cockpit.
Separate the parts carefully from the fret, bend the individual straps into a natural shape and arrange them to match the subject. The color printing does not need to be painted over. Attach them to the seat with a drop of super glue. The steel belts can be toned down or weathered slightly for an even more faithful look.
The accessory does not hold the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant for completing an existing kit.
