The SPACE range from the Czech maker Eduard combines relief, color-printed 3D decals for the instrument panel and the side consoles with steel photo-etched parts, above all color seat belts. Together they do away with painting the instruments and lift the cockpit at a stroke. The set is shaped for the Blackburn Buccaneer S.2B plastic kit in 1:48 scale from Airfix.

The real subject

The Blackburn Buccaneer was a British two-seat strike aircraft intended for attacks at low altitude. The S.2B version served with the Royal Air Force and became known for its deployment during the Gulf War in 1991, where in desert colors it guided precision munitions. The rugged machine was known for its agility in low-level strikes.

Application

• Apply the relief 3D decals to the smooth plastic parts of the cockpit according to the enclosed instructions.
• Separate and bend the photo-etched belts and small parts; glue them with cyanoacrylate.
• The relief and the colors come from the factory, so the instruments need no painting.
