1:48 Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C/D SPACE is a set of color 3D decals from Eduard that gives the interior of a Buccaneer model a raised relief without having to paint anything with a brush.

The SPACE range stands between a decal and photo-etch. These are color decals printed into a raised relief on decal paper, so once fitted they do not look like a flat surface but like real instruments, levers and panels with depth. The set is intended for the Blackburn Buccaneer S.2C/D model in 1:48 scale and it is aimed above all at the cockpit and its surroundings, that is the places that are most visible once the glazing is closed.
The Buccaneer was a British twin-engine attack aircraft designed for a low-level flight path and for operating from an aircraft carrier. It is characterized by a rugged structure, a folding nose and a rear brake cone. The designations S.2C and S.2D were carried by naval aviation machines of the later production and upgrade phases, which differ from each other in the equipment for guided weapons.
The surface under a 3D decal should be smooth and ideally sprayed with a gloss varnish so that no air is trapped under the film. Cut the individual elements out close to the edge, use a sponge with a drop of detergent to moisten only the backing paper and transfer the element into place with tweezers. Do not use a decal softener with the SPACE range: the chemicals attack the printed resin and ruin the relief, and the manufacturer forbids it. The element is fixed with white PVA glue, and the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. Once dry, the whole can be evened out with a matte varnish.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The aircraft model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
