Montex 1:48 Blenheim Mk.I is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive painting masks for a model of this British light bomber - an accessory to a kit you have already bought, not a model. It takes care of the most laborious part of the build, the frames of the extensive glazing.

A set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks for a model of the Bristol Blenheim Mk.I in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit or the parts of a model: there are only templates in the package, which are stuck onto the transparent parts and make it possible to spray the frames of the glazing. The cut corresponds to the shapes of the particular Airfix kit.
The Bristol Blenheim Mk.I was a British twin-engined light bomber of the second half of the 1930s. It was powered by a pair of Bristol Mercury radial engines, the crew cabin followed on from a short, heavily glazed nose, and a gun turret was placed on the spine of the fuselage. The structure was all-metal and modern for its day, with a smooth skin and a retractable undercarriage. The Mk.I is the short-nosed rendering that preceded the later versions with a lengthened nose.
On a bomber the set is worth buying for the number of frames alone: the glazed nose, the cabin and the turret together mean dozens of small areas, which would take a whole evening to mask freehand. Work in groups - first cover the nose, check that all the edges are pressed down by holding it against the light, and only then continue to the cabin. Before spraying, run a finger over the whole model to see whether a corner has been left unseated anywhere. Spray the frames with a thin layer of the interior shade and, once it has dried, move on to the external camouflage. Leave the masks on the model during weathering as well - that way you will not dirty the cabin with a wash or with pigments.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, which it does not contain. Paints and glue are not included in the package.
