40mm QF 2 Pdr L/50 is a turned metal gun barrel in 1:35 scale to replace the plastic part on models of the British anti-tank gun.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely turned metal gun barrel in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker RB model. It replaces the plastic barrel from a kit and offers a perfect cylindrical shape, a sharp muzzle and fine detail with no mold seams. It corresponds to the British 40 mm QF 2 Pdr (two-pounder) gun of L/50 length.
The 40 mm QF 2 pounder was the standard British anti-tank and tank gun of the early Second World War. It was fitted to towed anti-tank carriages as well as to early generation British tanks such as the Matilda, the Crusader or the Valentine. At the start of the war it was an effective weapon, but from 1942 it was gradually outpaced by ever more heavily armored vehicles.
Degrease the metal gun barrel and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a metal primer before painting. Bring out the muzzle with a dark wash, and light chipping and dust suit the barrel.
This is a detail accessory for a plastic kit, not a stand-alone model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
