A colored photo-etched set for raising the detail of the cockpit of the B-17F Flying Fortress bomber in 1:48 scale. It is a set of fine metal parts that replace or supplement the plastic interior parts and give the cockpit a realistic look. The set is meant for a plastic B-17F kit in the same scale; on its own it is not a model. Most of the colored parts are self-adhesive.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat and bend them with a photo-etch bender. Stick the colored self-adhesive items onto a cleaned surface; fix the parts without adhesive with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Finish and seat the interior before you close up the fuselage so that the detail shows. The set is used to best effect at the cockpit stage of the build.
For modelers building the B-17F in 1:48 scale who want to lift the cockpit detail above the level of the basic kit. Suitable for more advanced builders with photo-etch experience.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a model in its own right. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
