Eduard 1:35 Tiger I Mid production fenders is a photo-etched set of fenders for a model of the Tiger I heavy tank of the mid-production batch.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale focused on the fenders of a model of the German Tiger I heavy tank in the mid-production version. The thin metal fenders look more realistic than thick plastic parts and also allow a faithful rendering of battle damage. The set is an accessory for the base kit, not a standalone model.
The Tiger I Ausf. E had sheet-metal fenders along the hull, which in the field were often bent, broken or missing altogether. The mid-production batch of 1943 carried a characteristic arrangement of fenders and side covers. The photo-etched version makes it possible to reproduce these details in exact scale.
Separate the fenders carefully and, if you like, give them realistic dents and bends. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue; the joints can be reinforced with epoxy. Degrease the metal surface and apply a primer before painting. Damage and rust will then stand out with the use of washes and pigments.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
