This color photo-etched set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard is intended for the detailed fitting out of the fuselage interior of the Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress bomber in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory that adds faithful wooden floor gratings and boxes for machine-gun ammunition. A large part of the parts is printed in color, so they create a convincing appearance even without laborious hand-painting.
The fuselage interior of the B-17 was full of practical details, among them wooden floor gratings and boxes with reserve ammunition for the defensive machine guns. These elements are clearly visible if you build the model with the access hatches open or set it in a diorama.
Apply the color self-adhesive parts to a cleaned surface only after the interior has been basically assembled. Bend the unprinted photo-etched parts over an edge and bond them with super glue. The wooden surfaces look better with a fine wash and a dry brush.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
