British 250-pound bombs, two pieces, 1:48 scale, are a resin accessory for an aircraft model, not a kit. They complete a model with true bomb armament.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane model. It is a set of two resin castings from the Czech maker Brengun in 1:48 scale representing a British aerial bomb of the 250-pound weight class, that is approximately 113 kilograms. The bombs are intended to be hung on a model of a British aircraft.
Lighter bombs were hung under an aircraft in pairs or several at a time, so a pair in the package matches the usual arrangement under the wings. Symmetry is what building up a load of stores stands on: if one bomb hangs slightly higher or is turned a little, the model looks crooked no matter how well it is built. It therefore pays to fit both bombs at the same time and to keep checking the model from the front against the light.
Wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine-toothed saw and level the area wet on abrasive paper laid on a flat board: with a pair of parts we sand both the same, or they will not hang symmetrically. Check the fragile fins against the light. Bond with super glue, ideally over a small wire pin, which also makes it easier to set the correct position. Apply a primer before painting. Spray the bands on the body with an airbrush over masking tape while the bombs are still separate, not after they are glued to the model.
This is an accessory to a model, not an aircraft kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
