A small but very useful set from the DN Models brand deals with a single task: clean canopy frames. One sheet carries cutouts matching the shape of all the glazing parts of the two-seat Flanker, and the material is thin and pliable, so it wraps even a markedly bulged canopy.
The Su-30MKK is the export two-seat version of the heavy multirole machine, developed for the People's Liberation Army Air Force and delivered from the turn of the millennium. Compared with the original interceptor Su-27 it received strengthened landing gear, a greater fuel capacity and above all the ability to carry precision weapons against ground targets. The long tandem cockpit with many separate panes of glazing is at the same time what gives the most work when building a model.
First wash the glazing and let it dry perfectly; fingerprints show through under a finish. Lay a cutout from the middle toward the edges and press it down with a blunt tool, so that no air pocket is left anywhere. Spray the frames first with the interior color and after drying move on to the exterior shade. Take the mask off as soon as possible, while the finish is still flexible.
It is an accessory for painting; the glazing itself and the model are not supplied.
