Painting masks CH-46 Sea Knight 1:48 (Eduard)

A set of self-adhesive painting masks from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for building the Boeing CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter. The masks are applied to the cabin glazing and to the wheels; after spraying they lift off easily and leave clean, sharp transitions with no paint bleeding under them.

The real subject

The Boeing Vertol CH-46 Sea Knight is an American medium transport helicopter with two main rotors in tandem. It served for many decades with the US Marine Corps and the US Navy carrying troops and materiel and supplying units. The tandem rotors give it a characteristic silhouette and a good load capacity.

Use

• Transfer the masks carefully onto clean, degreased glazing and press them down so that they adhere well.
• We recommend spraying the color of the inner framing first, then the final covering shade.
• Apply the paint in thin coats with an airbrush, so that it does not run under the edge of the mask.
• Once dry, peel the masks off carefully, ideally with the tip of a knife or with tweezers.

Who the set is for

• For modelers who want to save time masking and to get sharp edges.
• For builders of this type of helicopter in 1:48 scale.
• For beginners and advanced builders who prefer spraying to painting the frames by hand.

The set contains self-adhesive painting masks made of kabuki tape; the model itself and the paints are not included in the package.
