Kittyhawk Mk.III is the British designation for the production variants of the Curtiss P-40 fighter delivered to British and Allied air forces. It was a single-seat all-metal aircraft with a liquid-cooled V12 engine, a characteristic intake above the cowling and retractable landing gear. In its day the type was used mainly in the fighter and fighter-bomber roles in dusty and hot regions, where its rugged structure was valued. That is exactly why it appears in a wide range of finishes and markings according to the operator and the theater.
Coat the area under the decal with gloss varnish; on a matte surface a haze forms under the film. Cut the motif out as close to the print as you can, soak it in warm water and let it rest until it releases from the backing paper. Set it in place, blot the excess water away and apply a decal softener so that the decal pulls down into the engraved lines and over the surface detail. Varnish over it once fully dry so that the edge of the film blends in, and even the appearance out at the end with a matte or semi-gloss varnish.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
