Big Sin is a premium set of aftermarket accessories from Eduard that brings several separate detail sets of the Brassin range together in one package. The set is made for building the Curtiss P-40E Warhawk model in 1:48 scale, and its aim is to raise the level of detail to competition standard all at once. It is not an aircraft kit but a collection of replacement and accessory parts.
The package combines resin (Brassin) 3D-printed components with fine photo-etched parts. Typically these are the cockpit interior, the engine, the wheels, the exhausts and other exterior and interior elements, whose crispness far surpasses the standard plastic parts. Check the exact make-up of the individual subsets against the instructions supplied.
Before gluing, wash the mold release residue off the resin parts, cut them carefully from the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin. The photo-etched elements are bent over a sharp edge and glued with cyanoacrylate glue or with a special glue for photo-etch. The set suits more experienced modelers.
The accessory set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
