Resin fishtail exhausts for the P-40E Warhawk 1:48 (Eduard)

This set from the Brassin modeling range brings fine fishtail exhausts in 1:48 scale in the cold weather version that was fitted to the Curtiss P-40E Warhawk fighter. The parts are made by direct 3D printing in resin, with faithful openings at the mouths and fine detail that an ordinary plastic part from a kit cannot offer.

Material and building

  • The parts are printed in resin; before building, wash them and separate them gently from the print supports.
  • Sand the cut faces with respiratory protection and glue with cyanoacrylate glue.
  • Spray the exhausts in metal and rust shades and bring them out with a wash and pigments.
  • Fit them in their correct positions along the sides of the engine section.
