An add-on set in 1:48 scale for a model of the British de Havilland Vampire FB.5 jet aircraft. It serves to finish out a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The de Havilland Vampire belonged to the first generation of British jet aircraft, and you can tell it at a glance by its short fuselage nacelle and the pair of booms that carry the tail surfaces. The short fuselage allowed the nozzle to be led out right behind the rear of the nacelle and the ducting to be kept short, but then there was nowhere to attach the tail surfaces other than to booms running back from the wing. The FB.5 version was the fighter-bomber, that is, adapted for attacks on ground targets, and it became the most widespread form of the type. It served with the Royal Air Force and with a number of other countries, and in many places it stayed in service until the 1960s.
An add-on set for a model of the Vampire FB.5 in 1:48 scale. The list of parts and the kit the set is built for are given in the manufacturer's instructions. You cannot build a model out of it on its own; the set serves to finish out a completed kit.
Try the parts dry first and glue them only afterwards, because add-ons tend to be built for an exact position. Choose the glue by the material of the parts: ordinary cement for plastic models holds only on polystyrene, and for other materials use cyanoacrylate. Cut surplus material and production marks off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, or the paint will take poorly.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery unless stated otherwise.
