Replacement machine gun barrels for a Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I model in 1:48 scale from the Quickboost accessory range.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I was a British two-seat fighter that differed from its contemporaries in the layout of its armament. The pilot did not fire forward at all; all the firing was done by a gunner in a rotating turret behind the cockpit with four rifle-caliber machine guns. The idea was to attack bomber formations from the side and from below. Against fighters it did not prove itself, and the Defiant found its use mainly at night and in secondary duties.

Barrels are among the parts that a kit necessarily simplifies, because a thin cylinder is hard to get into a mold. The replacement part is more slender and straighter than plastic, and because it sticks out of the turret into open space it is clearly visible on a finished model. The extent of the set and the kit it is tuned to are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; super glue holds on resin and metal. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder off. Cut the plastic barrels off only once the replacements are cleaned up and dry-fitted. While gluing them in, watch that all the barrels are in line and stand out equally far; asymmetry shows at first glance on the small area of the turret. Wash and degrease the parts before painting.
The model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
