This set from the Polish company Master contains precisely turned metal barrels and small accessories with which you can replace the coarser plastic parts of the Dornier Do 335 B-2 kit in 1:48 scale. The package consists of several turned brass parts and resin muzzle brakes. It covers the barrels of the MG 151 and MK 103 cannon, the underwing FuG 25a antenna and the pitot tube. It is not an aircraft model but an accuracy upgrade for a kit bought separately.
The Do 335 B-2 Pfeil was the heavy fighter and destroyer version of the German aircraft from the end of the Second World War, with its unusual arrangement of two engines in tractor and pusher positions. Besides the nose cannon, the B-2 version carried a pair of 30 mm weapons in the wings. The underwing FuG 25a antenna, which plastic molds usually leave out, sits under the right wing.
Cut off the original plastic barrel, drill a hole into what is left of the part and glue the turned metal part in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Metal holds its shape, takes sanding and polishing, and once painted it looks more realistic than plastic. Work patiently and sort the fine parts out beforehand.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
