It differs from the plain variant in the lettering on the body — and lettering is a strong element in a scene. Text or a mark on a container anchors a scene in a particular setting faster than a whole row of other details, and at the same time gives the viewer a place to look.
The scale is the distinguishing detail. The accessory is made for 1:48. The manufacturer also makes the same subject in further scales, so for 1:35 or 1:72 reach for the matching variant. With lettering the right scale matters doubly: the text should be legible but not overly large.
In a town lane, by the entrance to a house, in the yard of a workshop, in a compound or by a station. Place the trash can so that the lettering faces the viewer or the axis of the photograph — otherwise you lose what sets this variant apart.
Wash the part in lukewarm soapy water and let it dry, cut the casting residue off and sand the surface gently. Work carefully around the lettering so that it is not sanded away. Lay down a thin base, so that the texture of the lettering stays visible. The text itself is best brought out with a fine brush or with a dark wash, which runs into the recesses and after wiping stays only in them. Then add the weathering: scuffed edges with a dry brush, dust at ground level, rust in spots on the seams. Finally a matte varnish to even the surface out.
