The EA-18G Growler is a two-seat carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft of the US Navy, derived from the F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter-bomber. Its task is not to win an air combat but to silence the radars of an air defense and to cover an attacking formation with jamming. You can tell it from the Super Hornet at a glance by the prominent pods on the wingtips, which hold the equipment for electronic reconnaissance, and by the pods slung under the fuselage and the wing.
