A set of painting masks in kabuki tape from the Czech maker Eduard for a model of the American EA-6B Prowler electronic warfare aircraft in 1:48 scale. The self-adhesive masks are machine-cut for the frames of the extensive cockpit glazing and for the wheel discs, so that spraying gives you crisp, clean transitions of color. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for painting; the base kit has to be obtained separately.
The Grumman EA-6B Prowler was an American carrier-based twin-engined electronic warfare aircraft with a crew of four, derived from the A-6 Intruder attack aircraft. It jammed enemy radars and communications. The expansive cockpit glazing is a crucial area for masking.
Degrease the glazing and transfer the masks with tweezers. Press them carefully against the edges of the frames, so that paint cannot run underneath. On a large cockpit work in sections and apply the paint in thin coats.
This is an accessory for masking while painting, not a model. The kit itself, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
