F-104S LööKplus 1:48 from Eduard is a bundle of detail accessories for a model of the Italian-built version of the Starfighter. It is an accessory to a model, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The LööKplus range from the Czech maker Eduard brings several detail items together into one pack cut for one model and one version of the real subject. This item is aimed at the F-104S in 1:48 scale, that is at the base Italian variant without the later upgrade programs. It is not an aircraft kit - you have to have the plastic model, and the accessories only lift it above the level of a straight-from-the-box build.
The F-104S is the version of the Starfighter built under license in Italy and adapted for the interceptor role with the ability to carry medium-range guided missiles. Against the American versions it received, among other things, reworked avionics and further small design changes. The aircraft kept its characteristic silhouette: a long slender fuselage, a very small straight wing with a sharp leading edge and the horizontal tail surfaces set at the top of the fin.
It makes sense to open an accessory bundle before the build begins and compare the individual parts with the kit instructions. That way you find out where the plastic original will have to be removed and how much material to take off. Sand the mating surfaces dry and in small steps, so that no slack appears. Cyanoacrylate glue in the smallest possible amount serves for gluing the small parts; any excess is hard to remove and leaves matte patches. On the Starfighter it also pays to sort out the balance in advance, because the slender fuselage with its short wing tends to sit back on its tail.
The set is an accessory to a model, not an aircraft kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
