The set brings a finely rendered cockpit for the Academy kit of the American General Dynamics F-111F tactical bomber in its late modification, in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a resin accessory made by 3D printing, together with pre-printed pre-colored 3D decals for the instrument panels, which speed up and sharpen the detailing of the interior considerably. The set is made by the Ukrainian brand Reskit.
The F-111F was one of the late and most capable versions of the General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark, with the crew seated side by side and with a variable-geometry wing. The machine made its name as a precise tactical bomber whose reach was extended with the help of a terrain-following system; the F version was fitted with more powerful engines and modern avionics.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts and separate them from the print supports. Glue with cyanoacrylate. The pre-colored 3D decals are applied onto the prepared panels and completed with small highlights; paint the resin parts with an airbrush. Check everything dry before the fuselage is closed up. Protect your airways while sanding resin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base Academy kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
