Color 3D-printed interior parts for the F-14A in 1:48 scale, prepared for the Hobby Boss kit. This is the smaller version of the set.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat is an American twin-engined carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The crew is two men seated one behind the other, the pilot and the weapon systems officer. The rear station differs markedly from the front one, so the cockpit of the Tomcat costs a modeler more work to render than a single-seat machine.
The set brings color 3D-printed interior parts in relief, that is finished instrument panels, side panels and other cockpit surfaces that would take a long time to fill in with a brush. The parts are carried on a backing from which they are taken. The set is prepared for the Hobby Boss F-14A kit in 1:48 scale and is its smaller version.
Paint the cockpit in its base shade, let it dry thoroughly and degrease the surface. The sheet is soaked briefly in lukewarm water, the part slides off the backing paper and is seated on a gloss coat, which holds it: it has no adhesive layer of its own, a matte surface is a mistake, and do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin. Transfer the part with tweezers, lay it in place and press it down with a soft stick from the center outward so that no air is trapped underneath. A seated part is hard to move, so work in good light and without hurrying.
The set suits modelers who want the cockpit of a Tomcat fully rendered without painting tiny details. The package contains the interior parts only; the model, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
