This set from Quinta Studio brings a color cockpit interior printed by 3D technology on decal paper. It is neither a kit nor a model of the aircraft but a three-dimensional accessory intended for plastic models of the F-15B in 1:48 scale. It contains instrument panels, side consoles, controls and seat belts; on the two-seat version this means the equipment of the front as well as the rear compartment, all printed in color and ready for use. The set is cut for the GWH kit.
The McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle is an American heavy air superiority fighter powered by a pair of jet engines. The two-seat B version is a combat-capable trainer variant with tandem cockpits, which keeps the performance of the single-seat machine. The type is among the most successful fighters of its era.
3D decals join three-dimensional relief with the simplicity of a waterslide decal. Varnishing and the folding of multi-layer colored photo-etch both fall away. The part is dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the paper onto the surface. It has no adhesive layer of its own, so the place has to be varnished with gloss varnish, and in the corners a drop of cyanoacrylate glue will hold it. Do not use a decal softener or setting solution; they will damage the printed resin and ruin the element. We recommend comparing the set with the cockpits of the particular kit beforehand.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. The plastic model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
