F-15C Late / F-15J Late 3D interior 1:48 (Quinta Studio)

A color interior set by Quinta Studio in 1:48 scale for models of the late F-15C and the Japanese F-15J fighters. The parts are 3D printed on a decal backing paper and have real relief. The set typically includes the instrument panel, the side consoles, the ejection seat with belts and other cockpit equipment with pre-printed colors, displays and labels matching the late, digitized cockpits.

The real subject

The F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engine air superiority fighter still in service today. The late F-15C and the license-built Japanese F-15J received upgraded avionics and displays, which showed in the layout of the cockpit as well. A faithful interior therefore underlines the character of the later machines.

Use

• cut the part out, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the backing paper into place
• it has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a surface painted with gloss varnish; on a matte one it would not hold
• do not use a decal softener or setter, the chemicals attack the printed resin
