1:48 F-15E exterior is a photo-etched brass set for refining the exterior details of a model of the F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:48 scale.

This is NOT a model of the aircraft but an add-on photo-etched set. It holds fine brass parts, which replace or complete the exterior features of a plastic model of the two-seat multirole machine F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:48 scale. The brass parts are unpainted and are meant to be worked into the build.
The photo-etched parts refine the outer surface of a model where injection-molded plastic is necessarily thicker than the scale calls for. Typically these are thin flaps, covers, grilles, actuators and other small features of the airframe and the engine section. The result is a more realistic, sharper surface ready for painting and weathering.
The parts are cut out of the fret with a sharp knife, bent with a bender or two blades and glued with cyanoacrylate or epoxy. Degrease the brass before painting and go over it with a primer, so that the paint holds well. Working with photo-etched parts calls for patience and fine tools.
This is an add-on photo-etched set. The basic model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
