A resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an airplane model but a stand-alone ACES II ejection seat in its late form, completed with photo-etched seat harness. The set markedly lifts the cockpit of F-16 models in 1:48 scale.
The ACES II seat became the standard on a range of American jets including the F-16. The resin version captures the faithful shape of the shell, the safety handles and the small placards that a plastic seat from the box usually does not hold. The pre-colored photo-etched belts give the cockpit realistic depth.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and sand them with your breathing protected. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the shell in dark shades with gentle edge highlighting by dry brush, and settle the belts naturally over the cushion and the backrest.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. It requires the matching base model, which is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not enclosed.
