A decal set from the French maker Syhart Decal reproducing the anniversary camouflage of the F-16AM Fighting Falcon (serial E-006) of the Royal Danish Air Force marking fifty years of F-16 operations. This issue is marked as a COMBO: besides the wet decals it also contains three acrylic paints needed for the scheme and 3D-printed parts (nose probes and a ventral antenna) for greater fidelity. It is an accessory for a kit, not a model of the aircraft.
The General Dynamics (today Lockheed Martin) F-16 is an American lightweight multirole fighter; the F-16AM version is the upgraded European MLU standard. For the anniversary the Danish aircraft was painted with the motif of the national Dannebrog flag rendered in a range of metallic shades, which is an unusual solution on an operational aircraft. The scheme was created to the design of a well-known Danish designer and the aircraft flew in this form at air shows in 2024.
Spray the metallic areas first with the paints supplied, onto a smooth gloss surface. Apply the decals onto a gloss coat with a decal softener, so that they settle without silvering. Cut the 3D-printed parts off their carriers, clean off any print resin residue and glue them with cyanoacrylate. Seal the finished markings with a clear coat.
This is a decal set with accessories, not a kit. The model itself and glue are not included in the package.
