This set of color interior 3D decals on decal paper from Kelik is intended for F-16C models in 1:48 scale. It reproduces the modern instrument panel with its displays, the side consoles and other cockpit elements with a raised relief and finished printing. On a single-seat F-16 with its large canopy glazing a detailed cockpit is especially worthwhile.
It replaces the hand painting of a modern cockpit, which on jet fighters is demanding because of the small displays and lettering. The 3D layer gives the panels depth and a realistic look even under an open canopy.
The procedure is the same as with ordinary decals - after soaking, the part is lifted off the backing and transferred onto a cleaned, ideally varnished surface. Thicker 3D decals tolerate a decal softener only in small amounts.
This is an accessory for a plastic kit; the model itself and paints are not included in the package.
