An Eduard painting mask in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a modeling accessory, a set of precisely shaped self-adhesive masks in fine masking tape. The masks follow the canopy framing and the circles of the wheels exactly, so they make quick, clean spraying possible without tedious cutting out. The subject is the single-seat A and C versions of the F/A-18 Hornet carrier-based aircraft. The model itself is obtained separately and is not included in the package.

The McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet is an American twin-engined carrier-based multirole combat aircraft. The single-seat A and C versions served both for air-to-air combat and for attacks on ground targets, from the decks of American aircraft carriers and with a number of allies.

Use

• Lift the masks carefully off the sheet and stick them exactly onto the canopy glazing and the wheels of the model.
• Press the edges down carefully, so that paint cannot run underneath, and then spray the color of the frames.
• Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off, which gives you crisp, clean edges.
• It is used on a model that is assembled and has its base coat on.
