1:48 F-35A Lightning II by Red Fox Studio is a sheet of 3D decals for the cockpit of the single-seat F-35A in 1:48 scale. An accessory for the cabin, not an aircraft model. The accessory is aimed at the Tamiya kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet is intended for the cabin of the single-seat F-35A version. The print is carried by a layer with a thickness of its own, so the panels have real relief and do not read as a sticker. It is applied with water to the parts of a model under construction.
The F-35A is the single-seat version with conventional takeoff and landing. The cabin is modern in the most literal sense: it is dominated by a large-area touchscreen panel, conventional instruments are minimal and the head-up display above the panel is absent, because the helmet-mounted system takes over its role. On the model that means a large continuous area that you have to either paint convincingly or cover with a decal.
A smaller scale, finer work
Compared with 1:32 scale everything here is roughly a third smaller, so the pieces tend to be genuinely tiny. Prepare a sharp new knife, fine tweezers and if possible a magnifier or optics; a blunt blade will fray the edge of the print. Cut the pieces off close to the artwork so that no rim is left around them that would catch the light in the shadow of the cabin. Let the water be lukewarm and the soak short, so that the piece does not end up floating with no adhesive layer. Transfer it on a damp brush and guide it into position with the tip of a toothpick, not with metal.
This is a cockpit accessory, not an aircraft model. The Tamiya base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
