This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American F-4C Phantom II fighter in 1:48 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Zoukei-Mura, from the premium SWS (Super Wing Series) range. The range is renowned for its emphasis on faithful structural detail. The model is conceived as an elaborate kit for more advanced modelers.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4C Phantom II was an American two-seat twin-engine supersonic fighter, one of the first production versions of the Phantom intended for the US Air Force. It was marked out by its powerful engines, long range and the wide range of armament it carried. Machines of this version were used in the 1960s and were deployed in combat operations in Southeast Asia as well.
Because of the richly broken-up structure of the build, we recommend following the instructions and paying attention to the order in which the engines, the wheel wells and the cockpit are assembled. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, sand the seams and apply a gloss clear coat before the decals. The panel lines will stand out after a panel liner has been run into them and a discreet weathering added.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
