An accessory pack focused on the armament of the F-4E Phantom II aircraft in 1:48 scale from the output of the Czech firm Eduard. It is not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The pack brings together several Eduard accessory sets focused on the external stores of an F-4E Phantom II model in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model; the parts are fitted to a kit you have already bought. Which particular stores the pack contains should be checked against the information on the box.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat twin-engine combat aircraft with a characteristic cranked wing and drooping horizontal tail surfaces. The F-4E version differs from the earlier configurations above all in the gun armament built into the nose and in a longer nose; later machines also received slats on the leading edge of the wing. The Phantom carried its load on fuselage as well as wing pylons, so the configuration of stores is one of the most conspicuous features on a model.
Build and paint the stores separately from the airframe and fit them only at the end, after painting and after the decals have been applied. Wash resin parts of the remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and true the faces on sanding paper laid on a flat board. Separate photo-etched parts on a hard surface and glue them with super glue. Both metal and resin need a filling primer before painting. Predrill the pins of the pylons; the joint will be stronger and the store can be aligned accurately. Apply small stencil markings over a gloss surface and add a decal softener.
