F-8 Crusader wheels 1:48 is a resin landing gear wheel set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard (the Brassin line) for plastic models of the Vought F-8 Crusader fighter in 1:48 scale.

This is not an aircraft model, but a resin detail set that replaces the plastic landing gear wheels in the base kit with truer castings. The wheels are made weighted, so the tires look realistic as they settle onto the contact patch. The brake hubs are done as separate parts for greater detail and easier painting. The set is typically completed by photo-etched elements.
It is made for plastic models of the F-8 Crusader fighter in 1:48 scale. Precisely cast tires and hubs push the result beyond the level of the parts from the box and make a rewarding, easily visible improvement to the landing gear.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the hubs and the tires separately, with masking to help; at the end you can add dust and soiling with pigments. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
