A photo-etched metal set in 1:48 for the model of the Brewster F2A-2 Buffalo carrier fighter in the American version. The kit is not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Brewster F2A Buffalo was an American single-seat carrier fighter with a radial engine, a stubby short fuselage and retractable landing gear. The F2A-2 is its second production version for the US Navy. The US version qualifier in the name of the set therefore aims at machines of American service, not at aircraft delivered to foreign users.
The package contains photo-etched metal parts from the Eduard stable in 1:48. Photo-etch suits everywhere the material should be thin and the edge crisp, that is on small equipment, grilles, belts and panels. Which particular parts of the model the set covers and which kit it is designed for is given in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them for the order of the work as well.
Leave the fret whole and take parts from it only at the moment you are going to fit them. Cut through the tab with a sharp blade against a hard surface and hold the part with tweezers so that it does not spring away. Make the bends along the etched grooves and complete them with a straight edge. Where a metal part is to replace a plastic shape, sand the plastic down flat first, otherwise the etch will stand above the surface. It is glued with cyanoacrylate applied in a minute amount, best with the tip of a wire; a larger drop floods the fine relief of the part. Degrease the metal before painting and use a primer intended for metal.
The package contains a photo-etched fret. The kit, paints, glue and decals are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
