The Grumman F4F Wildcat was a carrier fighter of the US Navy and in the first months of the war in the Pacific it carried the main weight of the fighting. The F4F-4 version received folding wings, thanks to which far more machines fitted on the deck of an aircraft carrier, and reinforced armament in the wing.
The LööKplus set is intended for the F4F-4 model in 1:48 and brings finished accessories that replace parts of the kit. According to the name, wheels of the early type are part of it. The scope of the set and the assignment of the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement has no effect on them and the joint is made with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder carefully, so that the detail is not damaged. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts, otherwise the paint will not hold on them. Fit the wheels so that any molded flat spot on the tire points toward the ground.
The set suits modelers who want to raise the level of detail on the Wildcat without assembling tiny parts. Working with it calls for ordinary experience with accessory sets.
